The Allen-Bradley 2711P-T6M1D is a PanelView Plus 600 operator interface terminal. This terminal is a touchscreen that runs on 24V DC nominal. It can use 18-30V DC input power or 100-240V AC input power at 50-60 Hz with an AC power module. The 2711P-T6M1D’s screen is 5.7 inches in diameter with monochrome graphics. You can use a bare finger, a gloved finger, or a plastic stylus with a 0.051 inch or bigger tip radius to operate the touchscreen, but any other tools will damage the screen. The 2711P-T6M1D can communicate with other machines through its RS-232, USB, Ethernet, and its RIO ports.

To create the 2711P-T6M1D’s interface, the user needs to make an HMI (Human Machine Interface) with the Factory Talk View Studio Software, Machine Edition, and then make a ladder logic program that can interact with the HMI. The 2711P-T6M1D runs the Windows CE operating system, version 6.0 in addition to version 1.2 or later of the Factory Talk View Studio software.

The 2711P-T6M1D has 4 mounting slots for attaching to other machines. It also comes with switches for resetting the terminal without turning it off and on and a default switch for restoring the factory settings and accessing the settings menu. Its indicator lights detect faults or display communication status.
